Brake/Fuel Lines and Wheels

We first installed the front flexible brake lines, then we bent and riveted clips onto the hard brake lines. On the front and back the drivers side has a T crosspiece which connects both calipers to the master cylinders.

We also got the tires put on the wheels and we test fitted the front wheels. 

For the fuel line we ran a single hard line down the passenger side to the front, on the back we attached it to the fuel filter via a flexible tube. 

The Wheels and Tires

We have gotten the wheels and tires. We are extremely close to getting this car rolling!

Brake Master Cylinder Installed

First we drilled through the front of the drivers side footbox to attach the master cylinder. 

Then we drilled a hole for the tubing, filed it smooth and routed the tubing inside. 

Once inside the tube split into two and attached to the master cylinders via a banjo fitting. 

The Cockpit Back Wall Aluminum

We riveted the back wall and corners of the cockpit. 

Drivers Side Aluminum

We drilled, siliconed, and riveted the drivers side floor, sidewall, footbox inner wall, and footbox floor. 

More Aluminum Panels

We drilled, siliconed, and riveted the passenger floor and sidewall. We used clecos to hold the panels in place temporarily. 

The Rear Brakes

First we bolted on two metal pieces on either end of the differential. 

Then we put on the brake rotor and bolted on the brake caliper. 

Installing the Rear Differential

Today we worked on the rear suspension/differential. 

First we raised the rear differential up on a car jack and attacked the lower control arms

 and upper link arm. 

Then we installed the panhard bar frame and the panhard bar. 

Progress on the Rear Differential

Today I am working on the rear differential. So far i have mounted the traction lock brackets. 

And mounted the lower control arms. 

The Rear Differential Arrives!

Today at 6, after about a week of delays, the rear differential arrived. 

Rik, the delivery man, and I carried the crate into the garage. 

Then me and Rik unboxed. 

Now we can finally start working again.  

Pegboard!

Today we installed a peg board to hang all our tools.

More Aluminum Panels Installed

Today my dad spent the morning working on installing the panels for the passenger footbox. 

Me and Rik then helped my dad finish the passenger footbox and mark the floor panels. 

We Finally Fit the Fuel Tank

Today Rik, dad, and i fit the fuel tank. First we pulled back a  bar on the passenger side with a clamp.

Then we wedged the tank into the frame and pulled the straps under.

Finally we put the bolts through and secured the tank.

Me and Rik Work on the Fuel Tank

Today my dad got Riki to help me out with the car. We first went around tightening bolts with a torque wrench. 

First we unpacked all the components. 

Then we put the fuel level measure and other pipes into the tank. 

Finally we tried to fit the fuel tank but the straps appeared to be too short.
